Constructed in 1791, this breathtaking estate served as the birthplace to James Madison, America’s fourth president, and serves as an incredible bed and breakfast today. Nestled on the banks of the Rappahannock River, this gorgeous plantation is meticulously clothed in period ware. A period some say never died at Belle Grove. A rear view of the building, overlooking the river. Notice the curved door and the attention to detail that went into this amazing structure. A shot of the Rappahannock River at dusk, and the start of another investigation. Close The Conway Suite, with each suite named in honor of a family who lived at Belle Grove. The sitting room. The dining area, where our gracious host served us breakfast following a long night’s investigation. The summer kitchen, adjacent to the plantation.
