Built in 1908, Burn Brae Mansion was part of the estate of George Ross MackKenzie, third president of the Singer Sewing Machine company. He had this breathtaking mansion constructed as a wedding gift to his daughter, Margaret Ellis, who is thought to hanged herself from a tree outside – after succumbing to grief following the loss of her infant son. First-floor view of the grand staircase with its ornate stained glass and lavish, dark wood. Second-floor view of the grand staircase. In addition to the paranormal world, Burn Bray is a hub for Olympic Cyclists as evidenced by the cycling room you see here. In fact, we got to meet Nelson Vails, the first African-American to win an Olympic medal in cycling. (Now how cool is that?) Burn Brae’s closet full of creep dolls. (Chucky eat your heart out.) View of the MacKenzie Cemetary that used to be part of the plot housing Burn Brae. Also on the property, you’ll find the Dark Forest. When we entered, we thought people would be busy trying to scare us. Instead, they were just hanging around. BAH-ZING! (Try the veal.) Just when we thought Burn Brae was grim and only full of deathly tales, we found this. COME ON GET HAPPY everybody
